Tarsian & Blinkley

Tarsian & Blinkley was established in 2003 to create beautiful, novel clothing and accessories that celebrate Afghan artisanship while improving the Afghan economy and the lives of the Afghan people. Tarsian & Blinkley's products have been sold globally through their website and featured in many media outlets including the New York Times Sunday Magazine, InStyle, Marie Claire, Organic Style, the LA Times, and CNN. 

Tarsian & Blinkley uses hand-loomed natural fibers to create savvy and wearable pieces, embellished with hand beading, sequins, crochet, and elaborate embroidery techniques created by an ever-widening group of Afghan women. 

Tarsian & Blinkley’s collaborative process encourages its women handworkers to come up with their own embroidery designs, based on the company’s art direction. The resulting pieces are often one-of-a-kind, exhibiting a wide breadth of character and originality.
