Herat Glass

Herat Glass is the Kabul retail shop for the great Herat glassblowing tradition. Its owner is at the head of two glass production centers in Herat and in Kabul which, with a staff of 5, now produce 100 different designs, including drinking glasses, large vases and lights.  

The originality of Herat glass production comes from the use of copper, iron, lapis lazuli, and other stones to create blue, green and amber colours. Because of their clarity, colour and design, artifacts made with Herat glass are lovely and stylish pieces for utilitarian and decorative use.
