Nasima Silks

Nasima is one of the first women in the country to use 100% Afghan silk for scarves and apparel. 

Finding producers of Afghan ilk is very difficult since most weaving facilities were destroyed during the war. Nasima silks creates jobs for Afghans, both in Herat where the silk is produced, and in Kabul, where it is dyed, woven and made into finished products.
